How long Do The Injections Last?
Everyone’s body breaks down the treatment injected differently but you can expect your fullness to last between 5-7 months.
What is the Best Injection Brand?
Hyaluronic acid-based formulas are the most recommended because hyaluronic acid is naturally present in our bodies which means we can easily break down this formula over time. We believe that Juvederm is the best, most natural hyaluronic acid based formula on the market. Hyaluronic acid formulas have a low risk of side effects and require no downtime after treatment! If you decide that the fuller look is not for you, Juvederm is also easy to reverse using an injectable enzyme called hyaluronidase.
Are Lip Injections Painful?
This all depends on pain tolerance and the method used to numb the area. We use ice to numb the injection site and our clients have told us that the pain is minimal to tolerable using this method. Several who have had other methods of numbing have even told us that using ice to numb is the most preferred method!
How Much Filler Should I Use?
Some prefer half a syringe for slight plumpness which means you will also have some left over for another treatment in roughly 7 months. For a more natural look we recommend 0.5ml – 1ml of filler. If you want a really full look, you can opt for more filler, getting up to 2ml of filler per session.
What to Expect after Fillers.
Your lips may be swollen after the procedure and you may also notice some redness or bruising at the injection sites, both are very normal. You lips may feel hard for about 2 days, which is also normal and will subside once the filler has had time to settle.
