Has the winter left your skin dry and dull? Perhaps you’re looking at enlarged pores or still bothered by breakouts. Then there are those fine lines that too quickly turn to wrinkles.
If you’re looking for a gentle skin rejuvenation treatment that smooths out those skin imperfections, a HydraFacial® may be the answer.
Our trained staff at A Beautiful You Medical Spa, working under the direction of board-certified physician Kenneth Thompson, MD, provides expert facial and other aesthetic treatments designed to make you look your best.
Whether you’re 21 or 70, a HydraFacial can improve your skin’s appearance. Here are the types of skin imperfections that a HydraFacial can help:
- Clogged pores
- Large pores
- Oily buildup
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Hyperpigmentation and dark spots
- Uneven skin tone
- Sun damage
- Acne breakouts
- Uneven skin texture
Step 1: Clean and peel
Our spa has invested in the patented HydraFacial device in order to offer you this innovative three-in-one skin treatment. Using a special tip with suction power on the HydraFacial hand-held device, we first clear away the old, dead cells on your skin’s outer layer using glycolic and salicylic acids.
The exfoliation stimulates the production of new skin cells with fresh collagen and elastin, two key proteins that keep your skin looking youthful.
At the same time as the exfoliation, the device emits a calming serum. This is a gentler exfoliation process than a chemical peel, so there’s no scaling skin when you’re done.
Step 2: Extract and hydrate
As the exfoliation takes place, the HydraFacial device removes debris from your pores. We can show you the accumulation of dirt and oil that was on your skin if you want to see it.
At the same time, the system delivers moisturizers with hyaluronic acid and more antioxidants. The hyaluronic acid binds to water to help your skin remain moist and hydrated. As you age, the amount your body is able to produce decreases. Hyaluronic acid is found in most high quality moisturizers today.
Step 3: Protect
During the last step of your HydraFacial, we cover your skin with patented serums customized especially for you. Vitamin A (retinol), vitamin C, vitamin E, niacinamide, and resveratrol are just some of the antioxidants in the serums we may select.
Antioxidants help your skin to repair damage caused by the sun, aging, and environmental pollution. They calm inflammation. Vitamin C helps boost collagen production. Niacinamide helps calm acne flare-ups. Vitamin E hastens the skin’s healing process.
A HydraFacial shows real results
We show you before and after photos of patients who have had HydraFacials so you can see the difference it makes in skin quality. It’s a very popular procedure because it’s gentle, there’s no downtime, and it’s noninvasive.
Most people — men and women — can benefit from a HydraFacial. It works on all skin types. But it’s not recommended if you have rosacea, sunburn, or a rash, or if you’re pregnant.
The HydraFacial accomplishes all three steps — cleansing, extracting debris, and hydrating — in one procedure. You can select a 30-, 60-, or 90-minute session. You’ll love the way this gentle, noninvasive treatment rejuvenates your facial skin.
A HydraFacial is akin to microdermabrasion, but there’s an important difference. Microdermabrasion uses a sanding procedure when resurfacing your skin’s outer layer, while the HydraFacial process sucks out debris with vacuum technology. In other words, the HydraFacial is a less abrasive procedure.
