I have recently received laser hair removal with A Beautiful You Med Spa and I am going to be completely transparent. I was absolutely terrified but super excited to be getting my embarrassment problem taken care of. I have extremely dark hair under my arms, on my legs, around my bikini area, and a few sprigs on my chin. The thought of revealing my chin hair is not the terrifying part although it is right up there with my fear of pain.
I had gotten laser treatments with another spa several years back and the pain was so bad that I had to stop two treatments in which is why my stomach was in knots with the thought of giving it another go. Little did I know, there are several types of lasers when getting laser hair removal, IPL, Alexandrite and the Diode laser and the Laser.
A Beautiful You Med Spa uses the Diode laser which the gold standard is way less painful in my opinion. There is a slight pinch in areas where you had more hair but it only lasts for a short second and the results are totally worth it! The entire process of getting my full legs, bikini, lip, chin, and underarms took 30 minutes tops and the pain was very minimal. I was even able to knock out some social media marketing on my phone while Dianna did the treatments. Also very surprising to know is that the treatments start working immediately. I have cut down shaving by 75% already with the very first treatment. If you are afraid of laser hair removal because of the pain that you associate with it, I would say to make sure the spa that you use has the diode laser and give it a go!
