WHAT DO LIP FILLERS FEEL LIKE?

Can Lip Fillers Be Harmful?

Juvederm, and other fillers, is made with hyaluronic acid which is a natural substance already found in the human body, therefore you are not technically injecting yourself with anything that is not already present in the body. Hyaluronic Acid is found in many beauty products because it can hold 1000 times it’s own weight in H2O making it very beneficial for adding hydration to products.

What do fillers feel like after injected?

When you are first injected, many clients say that the filler feels slightly hard or tight, but if done correctly your lips will look beautiful and even. That is why it is important to choose a medspa , such as A Beautiful You Med Spa, that has highly trained nurses for injecting. As for the “hard” feeling, we suggest that you gently massage your lips in between your middle and fore finger for the the first 48 hours. Within a couple of days, your lips will feel more natural and look fuller!

How much do lip fillers usually cost?

Most fillers range between $400 and $600 per syringe. Many patients actually only use half a syringe and have the other half saved for use before it expires in 6 months. This meant $400-$600 can last an entire year! Other patients prefer or may need the entire syringe at once making their budget for lip fillers closer to $1000 annually.

Can someone tell you have lip fillers when kissing?

Because your lips will retain their natural texture and softness a few days after injected, your fillers cannot be felt by you or your partner when kissing!

Do Lip Injections Hurt?

Our patients say that the pain level depends on how you numb your lips before getting injections. You can use numbing cream or injectable numbing solutions such as lidocaine, but we have found that the best way to prep your lips for less pain is to use good old fashioned ice.

What should you refrain from doing after lip injections?

Do not do heat related activities such as hot yoga, tanning bed, or any activity that involves exsessive heat. Avoid salty foods and drinks for 24 hours to prevent dehydration of the lips and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours!
